lüle apartment is located in an elegant 19th century building 100m away from the beautiful Galata Tower. The building has a lovely original marble stairwell and the apartment is freshly decorated and a very recent renovation. The street below is mostly residential and quiet, allowing for restful sleep.
There are two good-sized double bedrooms (one with double bed and one with twin beds that can be put together) plus a third small, internal double bedroom. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The apartment has one full size shower room and is 110 m2 in total with high ceilings throughout.
Many original architectural details have been retained, with some reclaimed stained glass windows and characterful tiling, giving a cosy atmosphere. The apartment comfortably accommodates six-seven people.
We are a family of 4; Mom, Dad and college age son and daughter. This was our first visit to wonderful Istanbul.
The apartment could not have been more perfect. It’s newly renovated and is lovely and perfectly clean. It is very spacious as well. We loved the location. It is a few minutes from the bustle of Istikal St. A few minutes in the other direction brings you to the tram to the old city. We also walked to the historic old city in about a half hour over the beautiful Galata bridge.The immediate area is lively and charming and filled with wonderful restaurants and shops.
We felt this was a better location than the old city; not touristy at all but still very busy. The landlord met us at the apt. and was extremely nice and helpful.I have no negatives to report!
